People of the minority group set up Gong Festival to honor and promote the unique cultural space of the Xa Lat Village, an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The event also aimed at improving cultural exchanges and tightening solidarity among local ethnic groups. This trip will equip you with information about a typical daily life of the minority people as well as their culture and festival, especially Gong festival. The event featured a wide variety of activities, including a street festival, a reproduction of traditional rituals and festivals of Central Highlands provinces, a seminar on preservation and promotion of gong culture, performances of various folk arts and an introduction to Central Highlands cuisine. Visitors can have a taste of the traditional dishes of the minority people such as grilled meat and their special wine called "Ruou Can".
